Dried Apricot
What Is Dried Cut Apricot?
Dried apricot is a product produced by drying fresh apricots, which is then cut. Before drying, fresh apricots have a water content of approximately 80-85%. Through the drying process, the water content in the fresh product is reduced to very low levels. As a result of drying, 1 kg of dried apricot is obtained from approximately 5-6 kg of fresh apricots. Drying removes the water from the product, leaving behind the essence. Therefore, the nutritional values of dried apricot, especially protein, carbohydrates, minerals, and fiber, are highly concentrated.
